Types
- Hot wallet — on device (phone/PC), always online. Convenient, risky.
- Cold wallet — separate hardware (Ledger, Trezor). Safe, less convenient for frequent txs.
- Custodial — exchange holds your key (Binance, Bybit). Convenient but "not your keys".
- Non-custodial — you hold the key (MetaMask, Rabby).
