Points Program

Project credits points for activity, later converts to tokens at TGE.

Points program — a system of accumulating points for project activity. Points later convert to tokens at the token generation event (TGE).

How it works

1. Project announces a points season.

2. Users earn points via: stake, swap, liquidity, referrals, daily check-in.

3. Boosters for early activity, NFT holders, referrals.

4. After 1-3 months → snapshot → conversion at TGE.

Famous points programs

Hyperliquid points (2023-2024) — biggest. Stakers got $3-15k.
EigenLayer / restaking — points for restaking ETH.
Blast L2 — farming via bridge + dapps.
Linea Voyage — quest-based.

Effective farming

Be early — boosts for early users often 2-5x.
Use referrals — points from your activity AND from invitees.
Don't disperse — one strategy with high volume > 10 small ones.

⚠️ Not all points programs convert. Some are pure marketing without a token.

Snapshot

Recording holder state at a specific date — used later to distribute a drop.

Sybil Attack

One person creates many wallets to claim a bigger airdrop. Projects detect and ban this.

Mainnet

Live production blockchain with real money — opposite of testnet (fake tokens).
