Testnet
Test network of the project — users make transactions with fake tokens, the project tests its code.
Testnet is a test copy of the blockchain where transactions use fake tokens. Projects use testnets to find bugs before mainnet launch.
Why testnets matter to farmers
Many projects reward testers with tokens after mainnet launch. It's the cheapest way to participate in a drop — no financial risk (the tokens are fake).
How to participate
1. Get test tokens via faucet. Usually free or after captcha.
2. Make transactions: swap, lending, NFT mint, bridge.
3. Regular activity — projects favor "real" users over spam.
4. After mainnet — wait for testnet snapshot → drop.
Risks
- ⚠️ Not all testnets airdrop tokens. Some are pure development.
- ⚠️ Sybil filters: 100 identical wallets = 0 rewards.
- ⚠️ Time: testnets can last a year with no guarantee of a drop.
Active testnets with drop potential: dropfarm.org/en → filter type=testnet.
